Adapt or restart a routine · S3.21

Use a changing season to review a routine

Weather, daylight, or the season has changed what is practical in your day.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Name a routine affected by the change and the specific practical effect.
  2. Choose an adjustment in timing, location, equipment, or the activity itself.
  3. Try the new version when conditions allow and keep an indoor or alternative option if useful.

An example

The park is dark after work now. I could choose a daytime visit or a different activity indoors.

Reflect

Did the adjustment fit the conditions and your preferences?

Next time

Review again when the conditions change; routines need not follow a natural rhythm to be worthwhile.
