Adapt or restart a routine · S3.9
Fit a routine to your energy and comfort
Your capacity varies, and a routine may need to vary with it.
Everyday practice
Try these steps
- Before an ordinary task, notice whether your current energy or comfort affects what is manageable. You can skip detailed body attention.
- Choose the usual version, a smaller version, or a pause based on those practical limits.
- Note one resource or adjustment that would help, such as sitting, easier access to supplies, or sharing the task.
An example
Standing to sort everything is too much today. I can sort a few items at the table.
Reflect
Did the chosen version fit your capacity?
Next time
Allow tomorrow’s version to differ; consistency does not require identical effort.
