Adapt or restart a routine · S3.7
Experiment with one part of a routine
You want to explore a habit without assuming there is one correct way to do it.
Everyday practice
Try these steps
- Choose one aspect to change: timing, location, order, length, or materials.
- Write what you are curious about and try that variation once when practical.
- Compare the experience with your usual routine, including ease, inconvenience, preference, or no noticeable difference.
An example
I’ll see whether packing the bag before dinner fits better than leaving it until bedtime.
Reflect
What did the experiment show, and what would another attempt help clarify?
Next time
Keep, undo, or modify the change based on what you learned.
