Organize a space or personal task · D10.2

Make one space easier to use

A small area is getting in the way of something you want to do.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Choose one small area, such as a chair or part of a table.
  2. Decide what you need that area for. Move one item that is getting in the way to a suitable place.
  3. Check whether the area is usable for that purpose. Stop there if that is enough for today.

An example

“I want a place to eat. I'll move these papers into a tray so there is room for a plate.”

Reflect

Is the space easier to use? What, if anything, still gets in the way?

Next time

Adjust the setup after using it rather than aiming for a perfect room.
