Represent identity, memory or change · D7.5

Make a self-portrait from things that matter to you

You want to explore identity without needing a realistic drawing.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Choose words, objects, colors, or images connected with roles, interests, or preferences you choose.
  2. Arrange them as a portrait, leaving out anything you want private.
  3. Notice what feels represented and what you intentionally left open.

An example

My portrait includes a book, a path, and a question mark rather than a face.

Reflect

Does the arrangement reflect you today without claiming to define you completely?

Next time

Change it when your interests or self-description change.
