Notice your response while making something
You want to explore an ordinary activity without evaluating the finished product.
Everyday practice
Try these steps
- Choose a simple hands-on activity you are willing to try, such as arranging objects, drawing, or assembling something.
- During the activity, notice one preference, frustration, or point of interest without interpreting it as a hidden message.
- Decide whether to continue, change the activity, or stop; record only what you actually noticed.
An example
While arranging photographs, I notice I prefer a simpler layout and want fewer choices.
Reflect
What did you learn about your preferences or the task?
Next time
Use that information in a later activity if it is relevant.
