Make care and meaningful activity practical · S7.20
Choose an activity without making it a treatment task
You want something ordinary to do that fits your present interests and capacity.
Everyday practice
Try these steps
- Choose a familiar hands-on activity you genuinely want, or choose no activity.
- Set the scope and stop point yourself, with support available if wanted.
- Notice your preferences without using the result as a measure of healing.
An example
I arrange a few items on a shelf because I want to, then stop when I have had enough.
Reflect
Was the activity chosen and manageable?
Next time
Repeat only if it remains useful or interesting.
