Choose comfort and preferences about touch · D3.6

Choose a sensory comfort you like

You want a familiar, ordinary comfort during a difficult moment.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Choose an available sensation you normally find comfortable, such as a familiar sound, soft fabric, or pleasant view.
  2. Try a small amount while keeping control over volume, contact, and duration.
  3. Keep, change, or stop the comfort based on your experience; it does not have to change your emotion.

An example

I play a familiar quiet track, then turn it off if I prefer silence.

Reflect

Was the sensory option comfortable for you today?
