Simplify an activity with too many instructions
Coordinating movement, timing, and breathing feels like too much to track.
Everyday practice
Try these steps
- Identify which instructions are essential for the ordinary activity and which were optional additions.
- Ask for a simpler explanation or remove optional counting and coordination.
- Try the simpler version within your existing comfort and guidance, or choose to stop.
An example
I can follow the ordinary task steps without adding a breathing count.
