Explore a recurring belief or rule · D8.10

Review a rule that may no longer fit

A personal rule seems connected to an earlier situation that has changed.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Write the rule and what it once helped you manage, if you know.
  2. Compare the current circumstances with that earlier context without needing to revisit difficult memories.
  3. Choose whether to keep the rule, add an exception, replace it, or leave it under review.

An example

I used to keep every evening free for shift changes. My hours are different now, so I could plan one evening activity.

Reflect

What does the rule still protect, and what does it cost?

Next time

Change it at a pace you choose; you do not have to force yourself to let go.
