Find what matters in a choice · D2.4

Name what matters in one choice

You are deciding between small everyday actions and want to consider what matters to you.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Choose one decision you are facing.
  2. Name a quality you want to bring to that decision, such as honesty, care, or curiosity. Use your own words.
  3. Write one action that would express that quality while acknowledging your current limits.

An example

“Care matters to me. I can send a short message to a friend; I don't have time for a long call today.”

Reflect

Does this action reflect your priorities or someone else's expectation?

Next time

Revisit the choice if your circumstances or priorities change.
