Compare options and competing needs · S10.13
Find the question underneath an internal disagreement
You keep switching between two positions.
Everyday practice
Try these steps
- Write each position and the reason that makes it compelling.
- Identify whether the disagreement is about facts, priorities, or uncertainty about consequences.
- Choose the next move that fits: gather information, compare priorities, or accept that a tradeoff remains.
An example
One side wants the cheaper option; the other wants reliability. I need to compare maintenance costs before deciding.
Reflect
What kind of disagreement were you actually having?
Next time
Return to the decision when the missing information is available, without demanding complete certainty.
