Compare two possible solutions

An everyday problem has more than one possible next step.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Describe the problem in one sentence.
  2. Write two possible actions and one practical cost or difficulty for each.
  3. Choose a small action to test, including when you will check the result.

An example

“I keep forgetting the library book. I could put it by my bag or add a calendar reminder. I will try the bag tonight.”

Reflect

What did the test show that you did not know before?

Next time

Keep, adjust, or replace the action after checking its result.
