Learn from a small everyday test · D8.9

Try a small action from a new perspective

You have considered another viewpoint and want to see how it fits an ordinary choice.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. State the new perspective in tentative language.
  2. Choose a small, reversible action that would be consistent with it.
  3. Try the action if appropriate and record what happened, including unexpected or mixed results.

An example

Maybe asking for clarification is reasonable. I can ask one question about the instructions.

Reflect

What did the experience suggest, and what can it not establish?

Next time

Keep the perspective provisional rather than turning it into another rule.
