Practise accurate thinking without a rewiring promise

You want to revise a recurring conclusion that does not fit the evidence.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Write the conclusion and the relevant facts, including uncomfortable ones.
  2. Create a more accurate statement rather than a necessarily positive one.
  3. Use it for a practical decision and update it when evidence changes.

An example

One task was incomplete; that does not establish that all my work is poor. I can address the missing part.

Reflect

Is the statement supported and useful?

Next time

Do not treat repetition as proof of synaptic change.
