Prepare or review a boundary conversation · S8.21
Choose a setting for reflecting on a boundary
A change of setting might help you think about a limit you want to communicate.
Everyday practice
Try these steps
- Choose a comfortable, accessible place for reflection, outdoors or indoors, with the privacy you need.
- Write the boundary in one or two sentences and read it silently or aloud as appropriate.
- Decide what wording you want to keep and what next step, if any, you want to take.
An example
Sitting in the courtyard, I can draft what I want to say without sending it yet.
Reflect
Did the setting help you think, or was it distracting or impractical?
Next time
Choose the setting for its actual fit, not because nature is expected to provide confidence or balance.
