Acknowledge a fact and choose a response · D3.18
Return from 'it should not be this way' to a next choice
You keep returning to a fact you wish were different.
Everyday practice
Try these steps
- Notice the recurring protest without criticizing yourself for it.
- Restate the fact you currently have to work with, keeping any unfairness visible.
- Choose where to put effort now: a practical response, a request for change, support, or rest.
An example
The application is closed, and I wish it were not. I can ask about the next opening rather than keep refreshing the same page.
Reflect
Did redirecting effort reveal a next choice?
Next time
Repeat as needed without expecting one decision to remove the frustration.
