Invite connection and shared time · D4.16

Find a form of contact that suits you

You would like more connection but standard social plans do not fit.

Everyday practice

Try these steps

  1. Name the kind of contact you want, such as shared activity, brief messages, conversation, or practical companionship.
  2. Identify one setting or person where that form of contact may be welcome.
  3. Make a small invitation or inquiry, respecting your own limits and the other person's response.

An example

I prefer a shared project to a large gathering, so I ask whether the local group needs help with a specific task.

Reflect

Did the form of contact fit what you wanted?

Next time

Adjust the format rather than assuming you need more socializing in general.
